The Best in Central Texas……Subject Photography The Winner Is:

Over the years that I have been in Comanche I have been to many photographers. But, there is one in the central Texas area that I remain faithful to and that is Kyle Riley and Riley Studio of Comanche, Texas. Why do you ask? Because the simple fact is that this day in age anyone can grab a little disposable camera and take a photo but, that photo may be worth two words. Then you go down to the the local Walmart and print them off at the automatic Kiosk they fade in three months and everyone looks sunburned even though the pictures were of a wedding indoors.

Classic photography is a thing of the past but, it is making it’s comeback. You see Kyle who has been featured all over the state. You see bad John Paul in Austin who is paving the way for a new breed of photographers. Kyle Riley wins the photographer of the year in Central Texas…..John Paul…..Your the best in Austin and I still want Mommie Dearest…..

Three Questions to My Elected State Representative Dr. J.D. Sheffield

Since an illness kept me from getting to Austin last week and it seems from the emails I received that I would not have gotten the honor of an appearance with Rep. sheffield. here are my questions. I would like to discuss further matters and the wasteful spending that could help the State’s deficit but, first I and the entire delegation that make up the voting public of District 59 deserve to know one major thing.

So The First Question IS::

1. In a closed Republican Caucus a vote that is not a public matter but, a private behind closed doors vote. Did you vote in favor of Obama Care?

This is a yes or no question Dr. Sheffield because it has been said that the reason you voted in favor of Obama Care was your clinic would have lost money by that I am told that your clinic would have lost money.

 If you in fact voted in favor of Obama Care you have shown by your actions that you are no better than any of your predecessors and your actions which speak louder than words have already defined you as a self seeking politician driven by self seeking motives.

Which brings me to my next questions…..

2. Why should District 59 vote or even have the desire to vote for a person man or woman who does not even have the courage of his convictions to publicly announce his decision or his stance. Even though this vote was private do you not feel that the people who sent you to Austin deserve to hear how you are representing us?

3. If you voted the way that I am told you did you have broken any trust that I even had in your ability to represent our District in a time when Texas needs men and women who are driven by convictions stronger than their weak desires of glory, fame and self promotion. Why should we trust you when you clearly have already lied to us. By lying I also mean that if you are not telling us that is considered lying in my book on this important issue.

Thanks,

The Head Start Program and my personal observations in Rural Texas

I was shocked to see that in a small central Texas town at a local head start program I found the most well behaved kids who at their young age can grow strawberries, lettuce and other things that one does not usually see a five year old grow. Oh and they are organic and they have a green house and a compost heap. Yes I am not a big fan of children as many will will testify to but, these kids do not bother me at all.  They are so intelligent and even teachers are trying to get their kids in so that they can get this foundation of education from this particular program in Deleon, Texas. I was not suprised when I was told that their funds had beem cut short and their grant is up in the air.  Resulting in the lack of job security in this certain region. We owe it to our children to find a way to fund education at all levels as long as they remain productive.  For our children our the future!
