“HD 59” Our Rep. Is going to work Right?

Well, I am going to pull a Liz Smith but, it has come to my attention that a source close to Austin and to JD Sheffield the man who campaigned on high promises of representation….well…may enjoy Gatesville. I was called and told that he has not been doing well on his attendance.
I must remind people that the voters has to have him but, before he was sworn in I spoke with a woman from Hamilton County who was concerned and not too happy. Somerville County is on that list and possibly I am told Erath. I did not get a response when I sent a copy via text message to Glenn Jeffers to pass on to his friend and former boss Rep. Sheffield. I would rather him attend meetings in Austin and not around the district. Both would be nice but, I do not want to ask to much of him he is new. Since I am a member of the press I am calling tomorrow for a one on one sit down interview! We will see if I can be granted one! Let’s not forget that if Mike Jones had not run Sid Miller would be in office. Rep. Sheffield did win but the runoff turnouts were low and it makes him sound like the prince killing Malificant the Dragon. Oh, he has a democratic record which is interesting also! Enough pussyfooting around!

The Ballad of the Baker

I just wanted to share that there is a great short film about the historic, “Baker Hotel” on You Tube. I had mentioned that after a year of not being able to retrieve an original laundry bag still on the hanger from the 1930’s. A kind soul bought the item and I bought it back and then returned it to a store across from the hotel. The gentleman collects Baker Hotel items and I thought that it deserved to go back home! I am so glad it is safe and sound and was not thrown away as trash. You know some people do not really know what they have or how historical some items can be. Others, just do not care. That aside, a friend messaged me and asked if i remember taking our Tour of the Hotel in 2003. We were the last tour that the city allowed and we stayed the night it was great fun. It was closed to the public shortly after. We shared the stories about what happened and how we were like the only people in the hotel along with the ghost hunters. Fun times!

A Latino Bush?

Ok, it is one thing to have brown skin and get up in front of a crowd and promise to represent Latino voters. But, his last name is Bush. There is a great Latino who can relate to all Latinos because he is just like them..Oh dear, I being half Aztec and Spaniard can relate better. Even though I was adopted by a white family I have seen the hardworking Hispanics across this State and Country and the last thing we need on either side is a blue blooded Hispanic who gets into office for I can tell you his decisions will help those who is is like. He is a Bush…..Yes he may be attractive but, does he have any contact with ordinary people away from the camera? Or is he another puppet who is brown. Ted Cruz cracks me up. He is Cuban….Rubio- Cuban. Has anyone seen Scarface?

Oh, on Monday I will begin to try and meet with my Representative and see if he is going to keep his word. But, on Monday I did speak with Hamilton County who said that the only thing that they could understand was he was, “Pro Second Amendment”.

Then she said that there was some guy right by: Dr. Sheffield.

You know if you are a good campaign manager you stand at the back and the rest falls into place. I want a meeting alone with my Representative. If I wanted any advice from his Winged Monkey who accused my of taking a bribe. I will find him in the hall or the break room. That way if he loses his temper again like he did several times with me. I will just feed him a cookie like he is a parrot. We have no place for anger or hatred in Austin or Washington.

Will J. D. Sheffield listen?

Will our newly elected Sheffield keep his promises and fight for public Education and help protect the TRS active care? She he was in the runoff I authored a pledge for both Miller and Sheffield to sign. Miller signed but, Glenn Jeffers after asking what I was promised did not even give me the time of day. Now, pledged do not make the decision but, a call from Sheffield or a letter would have been nice. Instead, I was blown off by Glenn. I hope that things will be different in Austin so here is the pledge. But, it is for my Representative! I did not elect anyone else!

To read the entire pledge in a font that is not .08 in height visit my Facebook page or you can find it under: Sid Miller or Mike Jones’ profile also!

The Texas House Day One

So in just a few short hours as it is written and has been for years. On the second Tuesday of January at noon following an election year the new elected House Of Representatives and Senate members elected shall be sworn in. Well, the atmosphere is very interesting it has begun to rain and I woke up thinking that this might set the mood for the rest of the day. With talks of protests and rallies of angry Texans shouting for everything from healthcare to Public Education I am kind of nervous. But, I know that my job is if given the chance is to be true to who I am and see if I can not get a straight answer from anyone regarding the numerous things on the minds of our state. This will be interesting as I have never done anything like this before but, I ask you all to pray that in a few hours as we all meet at the Capitol that God will keep all safe and help our leaders make the right decisions. Now, I’m going to plug my ears and pray for another hour!
